Located in downtown Birmingham's historic Hardwick Building, a 100-year-old former steel processing plant along the Rotary Trail, this project transformed a complete shell suite into a new kind of banking environment.

Always.bank is the digital banking division of 22nd State Banking Company, the chartered banking institution headquartered in Mobile, Alabama. Its Birmingham headquarters includes BasePoint by Always.bank, a physical workspace, advisory resource, and business community designed to support entrepreneurs and small business owners. The space brings together banking expertise, professional workspace, technology, and community in an environment built to help businesses connect and grow.

The interior palette is sophisticated yet approachable, with warm, tonal colors and natural and painted wood accents. An existing skylight anchors the coworking space and reinforces a commitment to natural daylight, while demountable glass walls at the perimeter offices and meeting rooms keep the environment open and transparent.
