Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater

The Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater has been a vision of the City of Albertville for over 20 years. The primary goal of this 135-acre park is service to the community, but its economic viability is set to create an impact of over $120 million a year and generate labor income of $35 million annually through 1,200 job opportunities.

The centerpiece of the park is the 100,000-square-foot multi-purpose center, which includes fitness areas and four tournament courts convertible to an event space for up to 2,000 guests. The indoor and outdoor aquatics programs include a splash pad, lazy river, vortex and sports pools, slides, zero-entry recreation pools, and 8-lane competition pool.

There are 15 separate synthetic sports fields for year-round baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer, and football recreational use and tournament play. Four clay courts have been added for tennis players of all ages, along with 12 hard courts for regional tournament play and pickleball. A disk golf course weaves between the sports fields, RV park, dog parks, and four (4) miles of hiking and riding trails. The 8,000-capacity amphitheater caps the park and is designed to host national entertainers and support the local high school band.
